Locust Kitchen

This modern kitchen remodel takes a closed old floor plan of a bungalow house in Kansas City and opens the floor plan up for a more inviting space to be in. The introduction of reclaimed beams for structural support and the simple wood front to the island adds a warm touch to the two colored new cabinets. The costume island front, and built-in shelves were all costume made by ONE84.

A lot of care was given to the details with custom metal return grill and supply grills as a map of the neighborhood. The Cabinets where purchased at IKEA. The kitchen counter was purchased at IKEA but custom cut and finished by ONE84.

The over head beam was put in place as a support beam. Recovered from a barn in Nebraska, it provided a home touch for our family.

Mud Room Bench

This a bench at the back door to the house that allows you to take your shoes off when you walk in. It is made from a renovation project for the kitchen. The reclaimed 2x4s show all the character developed over the years, It even still has pencil marks from when it was being built.

Master Bath remodel

This Master Bath renovation was confined to using the original by removing a closet that was awkwardly placed and changing an old tub to a new modern shower. This adjustment really made the space more functional. The custom concrete counter top and cast in place shower base is a unique touch to the room along with the custom cabinets strategically placed near the shower.
